Catching the right moments…
Ok ok, I’ve been asked many many times by friends to do a photography tutorial, whether it be online or in a workshop… and the next set of images got me thinking… while photography is the art of light, being at the right place and time doesn’t hurt.
So, here’s my first lesson… shoot shoot shoot! and keep shooting! Moments are fleeting! Life is fast, shoot! Take the picture already;) and stop reading this, go out and shoot!
The Flaming Strollers
I like to imagine the first photograph, on the left, will someday be used by Clark when he’s older and joins a band. It’d make a great album cover. “The Flaming Strollers” or the “Out to Recess” band will be selling out shows at Madison Square Garden. Ya never now.
I’ve photographed Clark a couple times, but this session I had difficulty keeping up with him. He likes to run.
Wedding at the Adler
Ok, so I’ll be the first to admit that I’m consistently blessed with amazing clients. All of my brides are incredible. Don’t know why I attract the cool ones, so I won’t argue. This last weekend however, really set a new bar for cool cool bride’s. Jennie would have jumped into a mud puddle if I thought it would’ve made for a good photo opportunity. She was amazing. Actually, the whole bridal party was awesome, so good job guys… for making me laugh all day.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears, oh my… White Sox too
Olivia graduated from the University of Michigan and likes the Detroit Tigers; her and I can be friends. Tim graduated from Notre Dame and prefers the Chicago White Sox; Regis Philbin would be proud.
